Qwirkle, Skip Bo, Blokus – Games for the Family

Our family loves to play games. I remember years ago as a teenager doing crossword puzzles with Joel’s mom. Since Kindergarten, two of Fiona’s favorite games have been Scrabble and Yahtzee. Puzzles were a favorite of Joel’s dad and I still enjoy them. Since we’ve been here in New Mexico Fiona and I have put together two puzzles.

Yes, we do travel with a box full of games. When we packed them for travel I took them all out of their packaging, put small pieces in zip baggies and put it all in one box. Carrying a deck of cards or Uno isn’t too difficult. The Scrabble board folds nicely. Dice and a cup for Yahtzee is easy to carry as well.

House sitting in Albuquerque we’ve learned some new games. A new friend introduced us to the card game Skip Bo. I’m hooked! She had an extra deck of cards and gave us one. Again, an easy to travel with card game that all of us enjoy. Two other games are Qwirkle and Blokus. We’re going to enjoy them while we can.
